Cheslatta Carrier Nation (CCN) is seeking two (2) qualified individuals to join its Finance and Audit Committee.

The Committee provides Council with advice and recommendations to support sound financial decision-making and is chaired by Chief Janet Whitford.
About the Committee
Established under CCN’s Financial Administration Law, the Finance and Audit Committee reviews and recommends the annual budget, multi-year financial plan, quarterly and annual financial statements, and the selection and oversight of the auditor.
The Committee meets at least quarterly and as needed following receipt of the audited annual financial statements.
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field;
Extensive experience working with First Nation organizations, including familiarity with First Nation governance, financial administration, and funding arrangements;
Demonstrated financial competency, including the ability to read and understand financial statements;
Independence from CCN government, meaning no direct or indirect financial relationship that could reasonably interfere with independent judgment;
Strong ethics, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality; and
Willingness to commit to a term of office of not less than thirty-six (36) consecutive months.
