What You Bring to the Table
• Proven Expertise: Strong track record as an ISO 27001 Auditor, Lead Auditor, or Implementer.
• Location & Languages: Based in Germany with Fluent German & English.
• Stakeholder Management: Comfortable collaborating with German General Managers, VPs of Engineering, and European IT teams (reporting to the Associate Director).
• Autonomous & Agile: Strong change-management mindset to adjust global frameworks to local business needs smoothly.
We are looking for an experienced Freelance ISO 27001 Lead Auditor / Implementer based in Germany to lead a local business unit through a critical security transformation and certification push.
The Mission
• Drive and successfully deliver ISO 27001 certification for the local German business unit.
• Initiate and build out the BSI C5 & A5 compliance programs to reach a successful report.
• Core Focus: Act as a change manager; bridging corporate security policies with local operational reality, elevating overall security maturity.
Nice-to-Have
• Direct experience with BSI C5/ BSI frameworks.
• Background in Software / SaaS, Banking, Finance, or Healthcare.
