The Job:
As an Audit & Accounting Specialist, you will be part of our Financial Accounting & Controlling team in Berlin, working closely with local and international colleagues across Finance, Tax and Shared Services. Users buy and sell on Germany's No. 1 for classifieds mainly second-hand.
In this way they make an active contribution to more sustainability. On average, more than 55 million ads are available in numerous categories – from children's supplies to electronics and real estate. Kleinanzeigen also offers small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to present their services online.
Around 35 million users per month make Kleinanzeigen one of the most widely used websites in Germany. Kleinanzeigen was launched in September 2009 as eBay Kleinanzeigen. Since June 2021, the company has been part of Adevinta, a global provider of online classified ads. In May 2023, the name was changed to Kleinanzeigen.
In this role, you'll contribute to statutory reporting, audits and finance transformation initiatives while helping us continuously improve our accounting processes. This is a hybrid role, our office is in Berlin-Charlottenburg. You report to the Head of Accounting & Controlling.
Requirements
• You bring minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in Accounting and Audit with strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS.
• You have a proven track record of independently executing and managing statutory audits.
• You enjoy taking ownership and working independently while collaborating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• You analyse complex topics and communicate them clearly and concisely to different audiences.
• You have good Excel skills and experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system; experience with reporting tools is a plus.
• You are fluent in English and have a professional working proficiency in German.
• You bring strong interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to professionalism and integrity.
